Description

The Villeggi is a black LED pendant light built around three slim curved bars, each hung on fine wires from a long rectangular ceiling canopy so the arcs cross and overlap at different heights. The body is aluminium and steel in black, and each bar carries a white plastic diffuser along its underside that spreads the light softly downwards. Overall it measures 122cm long, 10cm wide and 120cm high. The light source is integrated LED, drawing 22W and giving 3,600lm. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.

Its long, linear format suits a kitchen island or a dining table, where the three arcs give a spread of light along the full length of the surface rather than a single pool in the middle. In an open-plan room it gives the eating or cooking area its own clear focus. With 3,600lm to hand, it is bright enough for chopping and reading recipes, and because it is dimmable you can bring it down to a gentler level for a long dinner. We think it suits anyone who wants one fitting to do the job of a row of separate pendants.

You can set the colour temperature to 2700K for a warm, relaxed glow, 4000K for a crisper neutral white or 6500K for a cool daylight tone, so the same light can suit breakfast, cooking and a late supper. There is no switch on the fitting itself, as it is switched at the wall. It weighs 1.52KG packed and carries an energy class of E.
