Description

The Vidi is a round recessed downlight that takes a separate MR16 lamp on a GX5.3 cap, running at 12V (AC or DC) and rated up to 10W. Because the light source is a replaceable MR16 reflector rather than an integrated module, the beam and colour temperature follow whichever lamp you fit, which makes the spread and tone easy to set to suit the space. In North American terms this is the recessed can light format scaled down to a low-voltage trim, dropping flush into the ceiling so only the chrome bezel and the lamp face show.

Indoor rooms suit it best, since the IP20 rating means dry interior locations only, so think hallways, landings, bedrooms and living spaces rather than anywhere damp or exposed. The Vidi has an overall trim diameter of Ø77mm, and it drops into a recessed ceiling cut-out sized for that body. Always check the cut-out you bore against the fitting before installing, as the cut-out is the hole the housing sits in rather than the visible trim face. Is a bulb included?
