Description

The Vidi B 5515 is a compact round downlight that recesses into the ceiling for a clean, flush finish. It takes a single MR16 lamp on a Gx5.3 cap, running at 12V (AC or DC) and drawing up to 10W. With a slim Ø82mm trim and a 22mm depth, it sits neatly within shallow ceiling voids. In US terms a fitting like this is the familiar recessed can light, sized here for a low-voltage MR16 reflector lamp rather than an integrated module, so the beam and tone follow whichever lamp you fit.

The Vidi suits hallways, landings, kitchens and living spaces where several small downlights are spread across a ceiling to build even, layered light. Because each fitting carries one MR16 lamp, the spread depends on the lamp's beam angle, so a tighter beam gives focused pools over worktops while a wider beam softens the coverage across a room. Space the fittings to overlap their pools and avoid dark gaps. The low-voltage 12V supply needs a suitable transformer, which makes this a good choice where existing low-voltage downlight circuits are already in place.

The Vidi B 5515 has an overall trim diameter of Ø82mm, so the ceiling cut-out needs to be sized just under this to let the spring clips grip. Always confirm the exact recess hole against the fitting before drilling. Allow 22mm of clearance behind for the body.
