The Velbessa is an outdoor wall light with a motion sensor, made from stainless steel in a brushed silver finish with a white plastic diffuser at its centre. The panel curves gently across its face, and groups of vertical slots are cut into each side, giving it a crisp, architectural look on a plain wall. It stands 26cm high, measures 23.5cm in length and projects 9cm from the wall. It takes an E27 bulb of up to 60W, which is not included, so the choice of bulb is yours. With an IP44 rating it is protected from splashing water, which settles where it can go: it can live outdoors on a house wall or a garden wall.

We would put it beside a front or back door, by a garage, or on a garden wall beside a path where you come and go after dark. The motion sensor switches on the light when it detects movement, so the step is lit as you arrive with your hands full, and you are not paying to light an empty doorstep all night.
