Description

The Velbessa is an outdoor wall light with a gently curved stainless steel body framing three white plastic panels, set one over another and divided by slim steel bars. It is 26cm high and 23.5cm in length, and it stands just 9cm out from the wall, so it sits close and neat beside a door or along a garden wall. It takes an E27 bulb of up to 60W, which you choose yourself, as the bulb is not included. With an IP44 rating it is protected from splashing water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall.

We like it most beside a front door, a back door or a garage, where the three white panels spread a soft, even glow across the wall and the step, so keys are easier to find after dark. The clean lines and steel finish suit a modern rendered house as readily as a brick one, and because the shape is so plain it sits happily alongside house numbers, a letterbox or planters. Thanks to the IP44 rating it could also suit a bathroom, where a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. Fit a pair either side of a door for a balanced look on a wider frontage.
