Description

The Vault is an 85cm x 60cm rectangle wall mirror with a geometric grey resin frame built from alternating raised and recessed horizontal bands. The mirror glass sits within a black inner border, creating definition between the reflective surface and the surrounding frame. The frame depth of 2cm provides visual weight without dominating the wall plane.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and hallways where vertical wall space allows for a portrait-orientation mirror, the Vault works above sideboards, consoles and dressing tables or as a standalone accent in alcoves and chimney breasts. The grey resin frame pairs with cooler-toned interiors, concrete finishes, and contemporary schemes that avoid warm metallics. At 8-16kg the mirror requires secure wall fixings into masonry or studs.

The resin frame construction gives the appearance of stacked ceramic or concrete tiles without the fragility or weight of genuine masonry. The alternating horizontal bands catch light differently depending on viewing angle, creating subtle tonal variation across the grey surface. The bevelled edge on the mirror glass adds a thin band of refracted light around the perimeter of the reflection.

What fixings are needed for this weight?

At 8-16kg the Vault requires wall fixings rated for at least 20kg. Use masonry fixings for brick, block or concrete walls, or heavy-duty hollow wall anchors if fixing into plasterboard backed by timber studs. The mirror should not be hung on plasterboard alone without stud support.

Can it be hung horizontally?

The Vault is designed for portrait orientation (vertical), but the horizontal band pattern would still work if hung landscape (horizontal). Check the hanging hardware on the rear before rotating, as some mirrors have fixings positioned for one orientation only.

How is the resin frame cleaned?

Wipe the resin frame with a damp microfibre cloth. For the mirror glass use standard glass cleaner or a 50:50 water and white vinegar solution. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the frame as moisture can settle in the recessed bands.
