The Vascella is a long, slim LED wall light in black, built around a stainless steel body with softly rounded ends. It measures 60cm long by 8cm, and projects just 6cm from the wall, so it sits close and neat rather than jutting into a path or porch. The light source is an integrated LED drawing 10.5W and giving 1,400lm, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water and can live outdoors on a house wall through the British weather.

We like it fitted upright beside a front door, where it frames the entrance and throws light along the wall, so keys, steps and the house number are easy to find after dark. It suits a porch, a side passage, a garden wall or the wall by a patio door just as well. The light is a choice of three colour temperatures: 2700K for a warm, homely glow, 4000K for a crisper neutral white and 6500K for a bright, cool white close to daylight.
