The Vanessa is an 8-light crystal chandelier built around a 545mm square polished chrome frame wrapped in vertical glass rods that diffuse light from eight concealed E14 bulb positions. Curved chrome arms extend from a central column, each supporting a crystal sconce and hidden lampholder, while a spherical glass ball suspended beneath the frame acts as a counterweight and decorative anchor.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Vanessa works in spaces where a square footprint fits better than a round chandelier — over rectangular dining tables, in square or oblong entrance halls, or centred above a seating arrangement in a lounge. The adjustable drop ranges from 830mm to 1830mm, allowing the fitting to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining surface or higher in double-height spaces. The 9.5kg weight requires secure fixing to a joist or ceiling beam.

The vertical glass rods soften the light output and catch reflections from the polished chrome metalwork, creating layered glitter when the bulbs are on. The crystal sconces add directional sparkle, while the glass sphere beneath the frame balances the visual weight and gives a defined lower edge to the chandelier when viewed from below. The polished chrome finish suits contemporary, transitional and art-deco-inspired interiors where cooler metallic tones are preferred over brass or bronze.

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and pair the chandelier with a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier itself contains no dimmer circuitry — dimming is controlled by the wall switch and the bulb type you choose.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Vanessa takes eight E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are not included. Most users fit 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for a traditional incandescent look without the heat or running cost.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 830mm suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above when the chandelier is positioned 700-900mm above a dining table. The maximum 1830mm drop is intended for double-height entrance halls or staircases where the chandelier needs to descend into the space.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool before cleaning. Remove dust from the glass rods and crystal sconces with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or residue, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the fitting or the chrome frame.
