Description

The Valmere is a 260mm linear alabaster wall light built around a slim rectangular panel of natural Spanish alabaster, set within a soft white copper frame with brass end caps. An integrated 7W LED behind the stone produces a warm 3000K glow that radiates through the alabaster, turning the stone itself into the diffuser and bringing out its natural veining.

Designed for hallways, bedside positions, en-suite bathrooms and stairwell walls, the compact 85mm width and 110mm projection keep the fitting close to the wall in narrow circulation spaces. The vertical orientation draws the eye upward, making it a useful choice for flanking mirrors, framing artwork, or marking transitions between rooms. It hardwires to a 230V mains supply on a standard back box.

Each alabaster panel is cut from a different section of stone, so the veining, cloud-like marbling and tonal variation differ between individual lights. The solid copper body gives the fitting structural weight and longevity, while the soft white finish on the frame keeps the focus on the alabaster panel. Brass detailing at the top and bottom frames the stone and introduces a warm metallic contrast against the pale surface.

Is the Valmere suitable for bathroom use?

The Specification tab does not list an IP rating for this fitting, so it should be treated as an indoor light for general living areas, hallways and bedrooms. For bathroom installation in zones 1 or 2, please contact us before ordering to confirm suitability for your specific position.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, cloud-like patterning and tonal variation differ between individual lights. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect, and becomes most visible when the LED is switched on.

Is it dimmable?

The integrated LED runs at 7W on a 230V mains supply. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer module used, so please contact us to confirm before pairing the Valmere with a dimmer circuit.

Can two be installed as a pair?

Yes. The 85mm width and 110mm projection make the Valmere well suited to symmetrical pairs flanking a mirror, headboard or piece of artwork. Each fitting wires independently to its own mains feed and back box.
