Description

The Valentina S/24 is a small LED pendant light with a shade 24cm across, shaped like a soft leaf whose edge rises and falls in a gentle wave. The shade is Olive Grey & White, grey on top and white underneath, where it is rippled in fine tiers that catch the light, and the structure is White. Its integrated LED draws 6.5W and gives 510lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so food and faces look true to colour, and there is no bulb to buy. The light falls downward from beneath the shade, keeping the glow low and soft.

We think it sits best over a dining table, where its modest size suits a row of two or three above a long table, or one alone over a small round one. In a living room it works well over a side table or a reading chair. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. The drop can be set anywhere from 20cm to 200cm, so it suits a low ceiling as well as a tall one, and it is dimmable (TRIAC) with a compatible dimmer, so you can soften the light for an evening meal.

It is made from aluminium and iron. You can choose between two canopies: a surface canopy, which sits on the ceiling, or a recessed canopy, set into the ceiling for a neater finish overhead; the canopy is 11cm across. It runs on 230V mains, is a Class I fitting, and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The design is by Alex Fernández Camps. Before ordering, choose the canopy that suits your ceiling and measure how far above your table you want the shade to hang.
