Description

The Valentina M/29 is a compact table lamp with one wide shade whose edge rises and falls in a soft wave, a little like a leaf. We sell it in Olive Grey & White: the structure is Olive Grey, and the shade is Olive Grey on top and white beneath, where fine ribs follow the line of its edge. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 6.5W and gives 587lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps skin tones, wood and fabrics looking true to colour. The lamp stands 29cm tall and 24cm across.

At that size it sits comfortably on a bedside table, where the wide shade keeps the LED out of your eyes as you read before sleep. In a living room it suits a side table or a shelf beside the sofa, giving a warm pool of light for a quiet evening. It plugs in, with cable of 30cm and 150cm, and runs at 230V. There is an on/off switch on the fitting itself, so you can turn it on and off without getting up to reach a wall switch. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The lamp is made of aluminium and iron, with a slim stem rising to the shade. It is Protection Class II, so it needs no earth connection. The design is by Alex Fernández Camps, who gave a simple table lamp a shade with real movement in its edge. One practical note: at 24cm across, the shade needs a little clear space around it, so measure your bedside table or shelf before you choose its spot, and keep a socket within reach of the cable. It comes with a European plug, so you will need a UK adaptor to use it in a UK socket.
