Universal Diffuser 30cm - White & Satin Nickel

A frosted acrylic disc measuring 30cm across, opal white with a satin nickel detail at its centre. The acrylic is moulded and slim, light in the hand, and it takes the glare off whatever sits behind it so the light arrives as a soft, even wash rather than a bright point. The small nickel button at the middle gives the plain white face something to look at and answers back to other brushed metal in a room. We also stock the same disc with polished chrome, antique brass and black centres, and with no centre detail at all.

Most people come to us for one of these as a replacement, where the original disc has yellowed with age, cracked, or come to grief during a clean. It suits hallway, landing and kitchen ceiling fittings, and utility rooms and box rooms where a plain white face is all that is asked for. Acrylic keeps its colour better than older plastics and will not shatter the way glass does, though it does mark if treated roughly. Dust it with a dry microfibre cloth, and for finger marks or kitchen film use warm water with a drop of washing up liquid, then dry it off; solvents, spirit based cleaners and scouring pads will haze the surface permanently. The satin nickel centre needs nothing more than the same gentle wipe. It carries a one year warranty.
