Description

The Umile is a single pendant built around a wide, flattened glass globe held on a slim satin gold stem. The shade is white acid-etched blown glass, squat and rounded so it sits wider than it is tall, with the light source hidden inside and a small gold finial passing through the base. Lit, the whole body of glass glows a soft warm white rather than showing a bright point; unlit, it reads as a pale rounded form on a fine brass drop.

The glass measures 300mm across, the widest of the three Umile forms, and the drop adjusts from 800mm to 2425mm so it can hang low over a side table or higher in an entrance. Its rounded, low-slung shape suits a bedside, a hallway or a spot beside a chair where a soft pool of light is wanted, and it sits well in pairs over a kitchen island or a longer table.

The ceiling rose, stem and finial are metal in a satin gold finish, and the diffuser is white acid-etched blown glass. An integrated LED gives 2000 lumens at 3000K warm white and is rated to 30,000 hours, so there is no bulb to buy and it lights the moment it is wired. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

What kind of light does the Umile give?

A soft, warm glow. The integrated LED sits inside the acid-etched glass, so the whole globe lights evenly at 2000 lumens and 3000K warm white rather than showing a bright bulb. It gives a gentle pool of light over a surface.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The LED is integrated and included, so there is no separate lamp to fit. It arrives ready to wire and light.

Is it dimmable?

The integrated LED is not stated as dimmable, so we would treat it as a fixed-output fitting unless a compatible dimming driver is confirmed. We can advise before you order.

How big is it and where does it suit?
