Description

The Ukari is a dining chair with a padded buffalo leather seat and back rest on a slim round-section iron frame. Two lines of stitching run down the seat and down the back panel, dividing each into three. The back rest is a separate padded panel carried on two uprights that rise behind the seat, and the rear legs splay back from them. The frame is finished in a dark bronzed tone that reads almost black against the leather.

It stands 78cm tall, 46cm wide and 52cm deep. The seat sits 49cm from the floor and measures 40cm across by 37.5cm deep, which is standard dining height, and at 46cm wide several will run along one side of a long table without crowding. The frame carries up to 110kg. Chairs are sold singly.

The upholstery is buffalo leather, which is a by-product, dyed with vegetable extract and tree bark, so the colour enriches with time rather than staying as it arrives. The frame is iron. The Ukari range runs to dining chairs and counter stools in several colours.
