Description

The Ukari counter stool carries a padded leather seat and a padded back support on a plain iron frame. The leather is buffalo hide in an aged black, stitched into three panels across the back, and the frame runs as four straight legs braced low down by a footrest that goes right round. The seat stands at 70cm.

70cm is counter height, so this pulls up to a kitchen island, a counter or a breakfast bar, and the seat tucks back under the counter top when it is not in use. At 44cm wide and 52cm deep it takes little floor, so a row of them will sit along an island without crowding. The footrest runs round all four legs, so it is under you whichever way you turn.

The seat and back are buffalo leather over an iron frame. The hide is a by-product, and it is dyed with vegetable extract and tree bark, so the colour goes on deepening with use rather than staying where it started. The Ukari range also holds dining chairs, and counter stools in aged tan, rich green and chocolate brown.
