Description
The Twiggy Sphere is an outdoor garden spike light that carries a small glowing globe on a slim stem and stands on a ground spike. Its emission is diffuse, so lit the sphere reads as a soft round point of warm light hovering above the planting rather than a directed beam, gentle enough to dot along a border or mark the turn of a path. Unlit, it is a neat 45mm ball on a thin stalk that sits quietly among greenery.
This is the coffee version at 900mm tall, the taller of the two Sphere heights, so the lit globe floats above low planting and lines up in a rhythm down a path or around a terrace. The warm coffee finish on the stem settles against soil, timber and greenery in daylight rather than standing out, while the little sphere does the work after dark.
The stem is powder-coated aluminium built for outdoor life and the globe is a satin acrylic diffuser that spreads the light evenly in every direction. Illumination comes from an integrated CREE LED module giving 110 lumens at 3000K warm white, CRI above 80, so there is no bulb to buy or replace. It draws just 1.5W, runs for around 30,000 hours and carries an IP65 rating for dust and water jets. It runs on low-voltage 3V DC and needs a remote outdoor power supply, which is not included, so plan for one when laying out the run.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Twiggy Sphere give?
A soft round glow. The satin acrylic globe spreads warm 3000K light evenly in every direction rather than a directed beam, so it dots a border or path with a gentle point of light instead of a bright pool.
Does it need bulbs?
No. An integrated CREE LED module giving 110 lumens at 3000K is built into the globe and included, so there is nothing to fit or replace. It is rated for around 30,000 hours and renders colour above CRI 80.
Is it suitable for outdoor use, and how is it powered?
Yes. It is rated IP65 against dust and water jets and the aluminium stem is powder coated for year-round outdoor life from minus 15 to plus 45 degrees. It runs on low-voltage 3V DC and needs a remote outdoor power supply, which is not included, wired by a qualified electrician.
How big is it and where does it suit?
The globe is 45mm across and the lamp stands 900mm tall on a spike, the taller of the two Sphere heights. It suits a border, a flower bed, a path turn or a terrace where a soft floating point of warm light is wanted, and it works in a rhythm along a run.
