The Tropez is a 650mm diameter glass chandelier with eight G9 halogen bulbs arranged around a polished chrome hoop frame, plus perimeter RGB LEDs controlled by a handheld remote. Glass icicle droplets hang from the frame beneath the bulbs, refracting both the warm halogen light and the colour-changing LED effect depending on which light source is active.

Designed for dining rooms, open-plan kitchen-living zones and entertainment spaces with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Tropez offers two independent light sources that can be used separately or together. The eight G9 bulbs (included, 40W max each) provide functional task or ambient lighting, while the RGB LED strip around the frame runs through seven preset colours and two automatic colour-changing modes via the remote. The drop is adjustable between 400mm and 1900mm on installation, allowing the fitting to be raised for taller ceilings or lowered to 600-750mm above a dining table in standard-height rooms.

The polished chrome frame and clear glass icicle droplets give a contemporary aesthetic that pairs well with modern, industrial and transitional interiors, particularly those with monochrome or metallic accent schemes. The RGB function is non-dimmable but can be turned off entirely when only the G9 halogen light is needed, or the halogen can be switched off to use the RGB LEDs alone for decorative effect during parties or evening entertaining. At 5.5kg the fitting requires a ceiling rose rated for chandelier loads and adequate cable support during installation.

Can the halogen and RGB LEDs be used independently?

Yes. The Tropez has two separate light sources that can be switched on or off independently. The eight G9 halogen bulbs operate on a standard wall switch, while the RGB LEDs are controlled via the included remote and can run separately when the halogens are off, or alongside them for layered lighting.

What colours and modes does the RGB remote offer?

The remote provides seven preset static colours and two automatic colour-changing modes that cycle through the spectrum. The RGB LEDs are not dimmable but can be turned off entirely when not needed.

What drop height works above a dining table?

For a typical dining table in a room with 2.4-2.6m ceilings, set the drop to position the bottom of the glass icicles 700-800mm above the table surface. This usually requires a total drop of 1200-1400mm from the ceiling rose. Taller ceilings can accommodate the full 1900mm drop for a more dramatic effect.

Are replacement G9 bulbs easy to find?

Yes. G9 is a standard halogen base available from most lighting retailers, including Niori. The fitting accepts G9 bulbs up to 40W each. Many users replace the included halogens with G9 LED equivalents to reduce heat and energy consumption.
