Description

The Tropez is a 600mm glass suspension light built around a central polished chrome sphere from which approximately 70-80 tapered glass rods radiate outward in a starburst formation. Eight G9 bulbs sit within the inner sphere, each rated to 40W, and light passes through the clear glass rods to create a diffused, multi-directional glow. The polished chrome canopy and cable support the 4.5kg fixture on a drop adjustable between 700mm and 1200mm.

Designed as a centrepiece over dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Tropez suits modern and contemporary interiors where decorative and ambient lighting combine. The 600mm sphere diameter works in rooms with a minimum 3.5m width, giving clearance around the perimeter. The glass rods are individually mounted to the central sphere, and when lit the light source inside casts outward beams that reflect off internal surfaces and create a layered glow rather than a single bright point.

The polished chrome finish on the frame and canopy provides high reflectivity, amplifying the light output from the eight G9 bulbs and adding metallic accent to the glass construction. The suspension cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the drop to be set to suit table height or ceiling configuration. Bulbs are included with the fitting and the light is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 dimmable bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer switch.

Yes. The Tropez is supplied with eight G9 bulbs fitted. The bulbs are user-replaceable and the fitting accepts any standard G9 capsule bulb up to 40W.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. The included bulbs should be confirmed as dimmable on the packaging — if replacing, specify dimmable G9 bulbs at purchase.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 700mm minimum drop plus the 600mm sphere diameter gives a total hanging length of 1300mm from ceiling to the bottom of the fitting. For installation over a dining table this typically requires a ceiling height of 2.4m or above to maintain adequate head clearance.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool fully before cleaning. Wipe each glass rod with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the chrome sphere or electrical components.
