Description

The TRIBIS II AB is a square recessed ceiling spotlight that takes a single GU10 lamp rated up to 10W, running on a 220 to 240V AC supply. It sits flush in the ceiling with an adjustable head, so the beam can be angled towards a wall, worktop or feature rather than fixed straight down. The light source is a PAR16 LED at 3000K, giving a warm white tone with a colour rendering of Ra 80. In US terms this is the recessed spotlight format used for directional accent lighting, here in a neat 82mm square trim.

This fitting suits living rooms, hallways, kitchens and bedrooms where a tidy recessed point of adjustable light is wanted. Several can be grouped along a run to wash a wall or pick out shelving and artwork, with each head tilted to suit. Because the heads angle, the spotlight works well for accent and task lighting at a worktop or reading spot as much as for general fill. It is an indoor fitting rated IP20, so keep it to dry interior rooms and clear of bathrooms, porches or any damp or exposed position.

Is the GU10 bulb included, and is it dimmable?

The TRIBIS II AB takes a standard GU10 lamp rated up to 10W. Whether a bulb is supplied depends on how it is ordered, so check the lamp specification before fitting. Dimming depends on the GU10 lamp chosen and a compatible dimmer switch, as the fitting itself simply holds the lamp.

Can the spotlight head be angled?

Yes, the head is adjustable so the beam can be tilted away from straight down. This lets you aim the light at a wall, worktop, shelf or piece of artwork. It makes the fitting useful for accent and task lighting as well as general room light.

Can I use this spotlight in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. The TRIBIS II AB is rated IP20, which means it is for dry indoor use only. It should not be installed in a bathroom, shower zone, porch or any outdoor or damp location.

How do I clean the spotlight?

Switch off the power and let the lamp cool first. Wipe the patinated brass trim with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, avoiding harsh chemicals that could mark the finish. Do not let moisture reach the lamp or electrical contacts.
