Description

This tri-proof batten is a slim, linear light measuring 65cm long, 7.3cm wide and 5.6cm high. It has a grey plastic body and a clear plastic diffuser held in place by metal clips. It takes a single G13 LED tube and is rated at 1,650lm with a colour temperature of 4000K, a crisp neutral white that suits close work. The IP rating is IP65, so the batten is sealed against dust and protected from jets of water: it can live outdoors on a house wall just as happily as it works inside a garage.

We suggest it for the places where an ordinary ceiling light would struggle: garages, workshops, sheds, utility rooms, cellars and covered porches. The sealed body keeps out the dust from sawing and sanding, and at IP65 it is well suited to the damp of an unheated outbuilding. It has no driver, and the LED tube can be replaced by the user, so if the tube ever reaches the end of its life a new G13 tube is all it needs. The energy class is C. As a wired-in mains light it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download, so they can be read before the work begins.
