Description

The Knightsbridge Track In-Line Connector joins two sections of single-circuit track lighting rail in the TRKSPxx series, creating a continuous electrical connection behind an 80mm white polycarbonate housing. The connector houses copper contact points that clip onto the conductive rails inside each track section, transferring live, neutral and earth between segments without requiring separate wiring.

Designed for residential, retail and office track lighting installations, the connector allows track runs to extend beyond the length of a single rail section — typically 1m, 1.5m or 2m depending on the track model. The 18mm projection matches the profile of the track itself, so the connector sits flush rather than creating a visible bulge along the run. The white finish matches white track sections and ceiling surfaces, maintaining a cohesive appearance across the installation.

The polycarbonate body is rated IP20 for indoor use and carries a Class I earth connection for metal-bodied track fittings. The 35mm width spans the internal rail spacing of the TRKSPxx track system, and the connector clips into place without tools once the track sections are aligned. The copper contact points are rated for 230V 50Hz mains, handling the combined load of multiple track spotlights along the run.

Which track systems is this connector compatible with?

This connector is designed specifically for the Knightsbridge TRKSPxx series single-circuit track system. It is not compatible with multi-circuit track or track from other manufacturers.

Does it require tools to install?

No. Once the two track sections are aligned end-to-end, the connector clips into the internal rails without requiring screws or additional fixings. The track sections themselves are typically fixed to the ceiling with screws or clips before the connector is inserted.

Can it carry the full load of multiple spotlights?

Yes. The copper contact points are rated for 230V 50Hz mains and can carry the combined load of all track spotlights on the circuit, up to the rating of the circuit breaker feeding the track run. Check the total wattage of all fittings does not exceed the circuit capacity.
