Trabuco LED Flush Ceiling Light - Black & Brown

The Trabuco is a round LED flush ceiling light, 55cm across and just 7cm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling and suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low. Its aluminium and steel body comes in black and brown: a dark rim frames a warm brown face, and the integrated LED ring glows through a white plastic shade around the edge. It draws 31W and gives 1,060lm of light from a single fitting. With an IP20 rating it is made for indoor rooms that stay dry, so keep it away from bathrooms and outdoor spaces.

Because it hugs the ceiling, it works well in a living room, bedroom, hallway or kitchen, whether the ceilings are low or standard. At 55cm across it has enough presence to anchor a good-sized room. The earthy black and brown finish sits comfortably alongside wood, linen and warm neutral schemes, and it still looks considered when it is not lit. The real gain is control. The colour temperature adjusts from 2200K, a warm amber glow for winding down in the evening, through to 6500K, a crisp, cool white that suits reading, cooking and working. It is dimmable too, so one light covers the whole day.

A remote control comes in the box and handles dimming and the colour temperature. The light has no switch of its own and is powered from the wall switch. The remote takes a CR2032 battery. The light runs at 220-240V and, as a wired mains light, should be installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download. It weighs 4.393KG packed, which is worth knowing when you plan the fitting. Leave the wall switch on and the remote does the rest.
