Description

The Torlan suspension hanger kit is a 2.25m stainless steel wire rope assembly designed to suspend Knightsbridge Torlan CWA, CDA and CWMA commercial luminaires from high ceilings or structural beams. The kit includes a multi-strand wire rope with two cylindrical barrel connectors, a luminaire clip that attaches to the top of compatible Torlan fittings, two spring-loaded carabiner clips for ceiling connection, and mounting screws with wall plugs for fixing to concrete or timber.

This accessory is used in warehouses, retail spaces, workshops and industrial units where ceiling heights exceed standard pendant drop lengths and the lighting needs to be positioned lower than the structural ceiling allows. The 2.25m rope can be shortened on installation by looping the excess through the barrel connectors, giving flexibility to position the luminaire at the required working height. The carabiner clips allow the hanger to be attached to existing eye bolts, ceiling hooks or threaded rod suspensions without permanent fixing.

The stainless steel wire rope resists corrosion in unheated or high-humidity environments and supports the weight of standard Torlan linear luminaires without sagging. The barrel connectors lock the rope securely once tensioned and the luminaire clip grips the top housing of compatible Torlan fittings without requiring drilling or modification to the luminaire itself. Each component is rated for the combined weight of the luminaire and any connected mains cabling.

The hanger is designed for Knightsbridge Torlan CWA, CDA and CWMA commercial linear luminaires. It will not fit other Knightsbridge ranges or third-party lighting. Check the luminaire model code before ordering.

Can the 2.25m rope be shortened?

Yes. The wire rope can be looped through the barrel connectors to reduce the effective drop length. Cut the excess only after the luminaire is securely suspended and the rope has been tensioned.

What ceiling fixings are needed?

The kit includes screws and wall plugs for fixing to concrete or timber. For suspended ceilings or metal beams, the carabiner clips can attach to pre-installed eye bolts or threaded rod without the supplied fixings.
