Description
The Torello is a 200mm round wall light built around a disc of natural light beige travertine with a smooth walnut brown wooden sphere set at its centre. An integrated LED sits behind the wooden centrepiece, casting warm 3000K light outwards across the travertine face so the stone itself becomes the diffuser. The result is a halo effect that traces the circular profile of the stone disc against the wall.
Suited to living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, landings and reading corners, the Torello functions as ambient and decorative wall light rather than directed task light. The backlit configuration means no bulb is visible from any angle, which keeps the light source soft and glare-free for spaces where the fitting is viewed at close range. Installed singly it acts as a sculptural wall detail; mounted in pairs or runs along a corridor, the repeated circular form reads as a deliberate architectural rhythm.
Each travertine disc is cut from natural stone, so the surface shows the open pores, mineral inclusions and tonal shifts characteristic of the material. No two faces look identical when lit, and the porous texture catches the warm LED in a way smooth ceramic or plaster cannot replicate. The walnut wood centre is turned and finished to a soft sheen, giving a tactile contrast against the matte stone. The combined materials weigh the fitting visually without making it feel heavy, and the 200mm diameter keeps it in proportion with standard wall surfaces.

Frequently Asked
Does the Torello come with a bulb?
Yes. The LED is integrated into the fitting behind the wooden centrepiece, so no separate bulb is required. The light source is rated at 3000K, producing a warm white tone, and runs on standard 230V UK mains.
Where is the light emitted from?
The LED is mounted behind the central walnut sphere and projects outwards onto the inner travertine bowl. Light reflects off the stone face and washes back into the room, creating a halo around the circular form rather than a directed beam. No bulb is visible from any viewing angle.
Is each travertine face the same?
No. Travertine is a natural stone, so the pores, mineral inclusions and tonal variation on each disc are unique. Differences in veining and surface texture between individual pieces are a feature of the material and are most visible when the light is switched on.
Can it be installed in a bathroom?
The Torello is not supplied with a bathroom IP rating, so it is intended for dry interior locations such as living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and reading corners. For damp or splash zones, please choose a fitting with a stated IP44 or higher rating.
