The To-Be is a slim tube pendant light finished in gold leaf: a long, narrow cylinder that hangs straight down and sends its light out of the base. It measures 45cm long and 5.5cm across, with a matching round canopy 5.5cm across and 13cm tall, and it hangs on a drop of up to 200cm. Inside is a 10W integrated LED giving 806 lumens through a 35° beam, so there is no bulb to buy or change. We offer it in two colour temperatures, 2700K or 3000K. Choose 2700K for a warmer, softer white, or 3000K for a slightly crisper one.

Its focused 35° beam makes the To-Be a natural choice above a dining table, where it throws a clear pool of light onto the table top while the gold leaf tube catches the eye. In a living room it works well over a side table, a reading corner or a sideboard. Because each tube is so narrow, several can hang side by side at different drops without crowding the space. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

Each pendant runs on 230V mains power and is wired in by a qualified electrician. It is not dimmable, so it works from an ordinary on and off switch at its full output rather than from a dimmer. The LED has a colour rendering index of 90, which means food, fabrics and skin tones look natural under it. That is a real advantage over a table where people eat and talk. The gold leaf finish gives the tube a softly textured, warm gold surface that suits both dark and pale interiors. As a practical note, settle on your colour temperature before you order, since each pendant comes in either 2700K or 3000K.
