Description

The Tessa dome floor lamp is a slim, quiet piece of lighting. A fine stem rises from a flat round base and turns at the top into a short arm, which holds a small dome shade facing straight down. The lamp stands 145cm tall, and the shade is 17cm tall and 15cm across, so it looks light and unfussy in a room. The whole lamp is finished in matt white, which keeps it soft and low-key against pale walls. It takes one E27 lamp, the standard screw cap. The bulb is not included, so you can choose its colour temperature and brightness to suit the room.

The dome shade sends its light downwards, so it works well beside an armchair or sofa for reading, next to a bed, or in the corner of a study where a ceiling light feels like too much. The 33cm base is flat and slim, so it sits close to furniture without taking up much floor. Its clean lines suit modern and Scandinavian rooms, and the white finish blends in rather than competing with what is around it. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry rooms only, such as living rooms, bedrooms, studies and hallways.

The structure is iron and the shade is aluminium, both finished in matt white. A plastic cable 2m long runs from the base. It runs on 220-240V and is a simple switched lamp, either on or off.
