The Tear Padaptor is a mains adaptor for the Tear three-phase track system, giving you a connection point to hang a pendant or suspended fitting directly from a live track run. Track lighting works by carrying power along a continuous conductor rail, so any compatible head or adaptor can be clicked in at the point along the rail where light is wanted. This adaptor takes a 220-240V AC mains supply through the track and passes it to the fitting it carries, letting a standard pendant join a track layout rather than needing its own ceiling rose. It measures just 85 x 32 x 55 mm and weighs 80 g, so it sits discreetly on the rail.

Because it feeds whatever fitting is suspended from it, the Tear Padaptor suits open-plan kitchens, dining areas, retail counters and studio spaces where pendants are wanted over specific points such as an island, a table or a display. The light spread and throw come entirely from the pendant you attach, so coverage is set by that fitting rather than the adaptor itself. The real advantage is placement: on a three-phase track you can position the adaptor anywhere along the run and reposition it later as the layout of the space changes, which is far more flexible than a fixed pendant point.

Built from plastic with a black finish, the adaptor is rated IP20 and is intended for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or exposed positions.
