The Tasmenne is a slim LED floor lamp in black steel, standing 157cm tall on a round disc base 27cm in diameter. A fine stem rises at a gentle lean, bends at an elbow and carries a narrow cylindrical head at its tip, so the light comes from a neat point rather than a broad shade. The LED is integrated, drawing 5W and giving 480lm at 3000K, a warm white that feels right for the evening. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

Its natural home is beside a sofa or an armchair, where the head can be angled down over a book, a crossword or a piece of sewing.
