Description

This wood effect Santa figurine gives the classic Father Christmas a quiet, rustic look, with a tall cone of a body and a long pointed hat topped with a bobble. Made from resin, also known as polystone, he has a finish that mimics the grain of wood in warm brown tones. His face is softly painted, with rosy cheeks, a white moustache and a long flowing beard. Cream textured trims edge his hat and cuffs, and a little green wreath rests at his side. He comes in two sizes, 32cm and 27cm, so you can choose the one that suits your space, or place one of each side by side.

Our Santa belongs wherever you gather at Christmas. Stand him on a mantelpiece among candles and greenery, on a hall table to greet guests, on a windowsill or at the centre of a sideboard. His slim shape takes up little room, so the 27cm size fits neatly on a bookshelf or a busy dresser, while the 32cm size holds its own on a broad mantel. The soft brown and cream colours suit simple, natural schemes and cottage rooms, where bright red decorations can feel too loud. He also makes a thoughtful Christmas gift, easy to wrap and welcome in almost any home.

Resin holds fine detail well, which is why the grain on his coat and the knitted texture of his trims read so clearly. He stands upright on his flat base, so he needs no hook or stand. To keep him looking his best, dust him with a soft dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. When the season ends, wrap him in tissue and pack him away with your other decorations, ready for next December. For a cheerful finish, tuck a sprig of holly or a few pine cones at his feet.
