Description

Five clear glass globes sit across a round polished chrome plate, each holding a small silver mesh shade inside the glass so the lamp behind it is broken up rather than left in plain view. The chrome is bright and reflective, and the clear glass keeps the fitting visually light for something 52cm across. It takes G9 capsules and will dim if you fit dimmable lamps on a suitable dimmer. We stock it as one of the wider round fittings in the Talia range.

It suits rooms where a pendant would hang into the way: a landing, a hallway with a modest ceiling height, a bedroom over the foot of the bed, or a kitchen where headroom is tight. Spreading the shades across a wide plate gives a broad, even light rather than one bright point, so it works over a dining table in a room that also needs everyday brightness. Keep it to dry indoor rooms, a sitting room or landing rather than a shower room or a covered porch.

The glass is clear, with silver mesh inners visible through it, and the metalwork is polished chrome throughout. Dust the glass with a soft cloth and, when it needs more, a barely damp one, drying it straight away so the plating keeps its shine; skip anything abrasive or solvent based. It carries a one year warranty. If you are lighting more than one room, the range also runs to round and linear pendants, a square flush version, a small single pendant and a switched wall light, all in the same chrome and clear glass. Lamps are not included.
