Talia 3 Light G9 Flush Ceiling Light 35cm - Polished Chrome

Three clear glass shades sit under a round polished chrome plate, each one holding a small silver mesh inner shade that breaks up the G9 capsule behind it. Because the outer glass is left clear, the mesh and the chrome are both on show, and the light travels through with a little sparkle rather than a flat wash. At 35cm across it is a modest round, held close to the ceiling and quiet enough to sit above a walkway or a bed without pulling the eye upward.

We reach for this one where a pendant would hang too low: landings, hallways, a bedroom with a low beam, a small kitchen where headroom matters. It suits rooms that already carry a little chrome, taps, door handles, a mirror frame, and it looks as settled in a new flat as it does in an older room being brought up to date. Fitted with dimmable capsules and a compatible dimmer, the level can be taken down for the evening. We keep it for dry indoor rooms; a shower room wants a fitting rated for damp air instead.

The ceiling plate and frame are finished in polished chrome, with clear glass shades and fine iron mesh inners in silver. Fingermarks show readily on both the chrome and the glass, so keep a lint-free cloth to hand and go over the surfaces once the fitting is switched off and cold, with nothing stronger than a slightly damp cloth on the glass and a dry pass afterwards. It carries a one year warranty. What lamps does it take?

It takes three G9 capsules, up to 10W each. We would fit LED capsules here, and if you want to dim the fitting choose dimmable ones and pair them with a compatible dimmer.

How far does it drop from the ceiling?

The body stands 150mm deep, with a diameter of 350mm, so it stays tight to the ceiling in rooms where headroom is tight.

What are the shades made of?

Each light has a clear glass shade measuring 120mm across by 95mm tall, with a silver iron mesh inner shade of 90mm across and 90mm tall inside it.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated for ordinary dry rooms only, so keep it to hallways, bedrooms, kitchens and living spaces.

How should I clean the glass?

Switch off at the wall and let everything cool, then lift dust with a soft dry cloth. A cloth barely damp with water will clear fingermarks from the glass and chrome; dry it straight away to avoid streaks.

Is a dimmer supplied?

No, the dimmer is separate, as are the lamps.
