Description
The Tag is a small recessed downlight that sits flush in the ceiling and pushes a soft circle of light straight down. The visible part is a slim round ring in matt white; the body drops into the void behind, so once it is set into plasterboard or a panelled ceiling only the trim shows. The optic is fixed, aiming the light down rather than swivelling, which keeps a row of them reading as a neat line of points. Lit, it gives an even cool pool with a wide 50 degree spread; off, the white ring stays quiet against the ceiling.
Light comes from a built-in LED module rated at 7W, giving about 800 lumens at a 4000K cool white tone with a colour rendering above 90, so skin, timber and paint hold their true tone under it. The 50 degree beam is broad enough to light a general area rather than pick out one object, which suits it to a hallway, a kitchen or a bathroom ceiling where you want a wash of light. It runs straight off mains at a fixed level, switched on and off from the wall.
The ring is die-cast aluminium finished matt white, about 98mm across the face with a 45mm-deep body that recesses into the ceiling. The LED is built in and rated to 30,000 hours, so there is no bulb to fit or change. Rated IP20, it is made for dry indoor rooms; we can supply it in matt white or matt black and across 2700K, 3000K and 4000K to match a scheme.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Tag downlight give?
A soft, even wash aimed straight down. The fixed optic spreads a wide 50 degree beam at a 4000K cool white tone with a colour rendering above 90, drawing 7W for around 800 lumens, so it lights a general area rather than a single spot.
Does it use a bulb?
No, the LED module is built in and rated to 30,000 hours. There is nothing to fit or replace; it wires straight to mains and gives about 680 lumens of useful output.
Can it be dimmed?
No, this is a fixed-output on-off downlight. It switches from the wall at a set level and is not made to run on a dimmer.
Where does it suit and how is it fitted?
It recesses into plasterboard or a panelled ceiling, leaving only the slim round ring on show, so it suits a hallway, kitchen or bathroom. Rated IP20, it is for dry indoor rooms; several in a line give an even ceiling wash.
