Description

The Syra 45 is a pendant light with a woven drum shade that narrows gently at its waist. The shade is 45cm across and 32.5cm tall, and it hangs from a round canopy on three fine wires and a central cable. We offer the shade in Ivory White or Brown, and the light is made in aluminium and iron. Its integrated LED gives 20W of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so colours on the table and walls look natural, and there is no bulb to buy or change. The light glows softly through the weave and falls down from beneath.

A 45cm shade suits a dining table, where it gives a generous, warm light for meals and conversation. It sits just as well over a coffee table or a reading corner in a living room. Hang one alone over a smaller table, or several in a row along a longer one. In Ivory White the shade keeps a pale, airy room light, while Brown brings a warmer, earthier tone to timber and natural textures. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The Syra 45 was designed by Alex Fernández Camps and Gonzalo Milà. It runs on 230V mains power and is wired in by a qualified electrician. As a Class I fitting, it must be connected to earth. Choose the non-dimmable LED version for simple on and off switching, or the DALI version, which dims through a DALI lighting control system. The canopy is 4cm deep and sits neatly against the ceiling. Before you order, measure from your ceiling to the table top so the shade can hang at a comfortable height.
