Description

The Knightsbridge anthracite switch cover is a pre-printed replaceable rocker insert marked 'COOKER HOOD', designed to fit grid switch systems where individual switch functions need clear labelling. The rocker measures 33mm high by 16mm wide and clips into a compatible grid switch frame, replacing a blank or existing rocker without rewiring the underlying switch module.

Grid switches are common in kitchens where multiple appliances (cooker hood, washing machine, dishwasher, oven) are controlled from a single multi-gang panel, often near the sink or on a utility wall. Pre-printed rockers like this one reduce guesswork when switching appliances on or off, particularly useful when multiple people use the kitchen or in rental properties where tenants change frequently. The anthracite finish pairs with black, grey or charcoal grid frames and provides a neutral contrast to white or stainless steel kitchen surfaces.

The rocker is constructed from ABS plastic with a steel spring clip mechanism, rated IP20 for dry indoor use. Which grid systems is this compatible with?

This rocker fits Knightsbridge's modular grid switch systems. It is not compatible with standard screw-fixed switches or non-grid plates. Check that your existing installation uses a grid frame before ordering.

Can the rocker be swapped without an electrician?

Yes. The rocker clips onto the front of the grid switch module and can be removed and replaced without touching wiring. Switch off the circuit at the consumer unit before removing or fitting rockers as a precaution.

What other appliance labels are available?
