Description
The Steel is a slim linear bar that hangs as a single straight line of light above a table or worktop. The body is an extruded aluminium profile finished in white, 1200mm long and only 60mm deep, with the LED running the length of it. It is a bi-emission fitting, so light leaves both faces at once: a working beam falls to the surface below while a second wash rises onto the ceiling, lifting the whole bar off the room rather than leaving a dark strip above it. Switched off it reads as a plain painted bar suspended on fine cables.
On this version the accent optic pulls the beam into a tighter, more focused band, so the pool of light on the surface below stays contained rather than washed wide. The bar hangs on cables adjustable from 300mm to 2000mm, so it can drop low over a dining table or island, or sit higher across a kitchen or office run. At 1200mm it suits a table for four to six, a kitchen island or a desk, worked singly or in a line for a longer counter.
The frame is powder-coated aluminium in white and the light is a built-in LED drawing 36W for 4100 lumens at 3000K warm white, with a colour rendering index above 90 and a 30,000 hour life, so tones stay true and no bulb is ever bought or replaced. Rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, it arrives ready to wire in on its adjustable suspension.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Steel give?
A warm 3000K light thrown from both faces of the bar at once. A beam falls to the surface below for working light while a second wash rises onto the ceiling, and a colour rendering index above 90 keeps colours true. This is the accent optic, which keeps the downward beam narrower and more concentrated. It reads as a defined band of light over a table or worktop rather than a broad flood, while the upward component still lifts light onto the ceiling.
Does it need bulbs?
No. A built-in LED drawing 36W for 4100 lumens runs the length of the bar and is included, so there is nothing separate to fit. The module is rated for around 30,000 hours of normal use.
Can it be dimmed?
The driver is not dimmable as standard, so it runs at a fixed warm 3000K output. We are happy to advise on the right switching before you order.
Where does it suit best?
Measuring 1200mm on a cable adjustable from 300mm to 2000mm, it hangs well over a dining table, a kitchen island or a desk, and several can be run in a line above a longer counter.
