Description
The Steel is a slim linear bar that hangs as one straight line of light above a table or island. The body is an extruded aluminium profile in white, 1200mm long and only 60mm deep, with the LED set inside it. It is a bi-emission fitting, so light leaves both faces at once: a beam drops to the surface below while a second wash rises onto the ceiling, so the bar seems to float rather than sit against a dark strip above. Off, it reads as a plain painted bar on fine cables.
On this version the accent optic keeps the downward beam narrower and more focused, so the pool of light on the surface below stays contained rather than washed wide. The bar suspends on cables up to 2100mm, so it can hang low over a table or higher in a taller room. At 1200mm it suits a dining table for four to six, a kitchen island or a run of counter, and several can be hung in a line for a longer surface.
The frame is powder-coated aluminium in white and the light is a built-in LED drawing 35W for 4100 lumens at 3000K warm white, with a colour rendering index above 90, so colours stay true and no bulb is ever bought or replaced. Rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, it arrives ready to wire in.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Steel give?
A warm 3000K light from both faces at once, a working beam onto the surface below and a wash onto the ceiling above, with a colour rendering index above 90 to keep colours true. This is the accent optic, which holds the downward beam narrow and concentrated for a defined band of light over the surface below, while the upward wash still lifts light onto the ceiling.
Does it need bulbs?
No. A built-in LED drawing 35W for 4100 lumens runs inside the bar and is included, so there is nothing separate to fit or replace over its life.
Can it be dimmed?
The driver is not dimmable as standard, so it holds a fixed warm 3000K output. We can advise on compatible switching if you would like to control it.
Where does it suit best?
At 1200mm on a drop of up to 2100mm, it hangs well over a dining table, kitchen island or counter, and reads cleanly run singly or in a line above a longer surface.
