Description

The Stanley is a wall light with a clear ribbed glass globe held on a right-angled brass arm. The fine ribs running down the glass give the globe its texture, and the arm sets it out from the wall on a neat round wall plate. It stands 36cm tall, is 20cm wide and projects 30cm from the wall. It comes in Antique Silver, Antique Brass, Polished Brass or Satin Brass, so you can match it to the other metals in the room. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is sold separately, so you choose the warmth and brightness yourself.

This is a wall light for the dry rooms of the house. A pair either side of a bed frees up the bedside tables in a bedroom, and a row along a dining room wall gives a soft glow around the table. In a living room, one on each side of a fireplace or a mirror suits a period house and a modern one alike. The ribbed globe and brass arm sit happily beside old panelling, painted plaster or plain white walls. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, indoors.

The Stanley is made from brass and glass, and every light is made to order for you in Ireland. The globe sits in a brass gallery held by small thumb screws, and the slim arm meets the wall plate at a right angle. It is a Class I fitting, which means it is earthed, and it is for a qualified electrician to wire in to the mains. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered. When you choose a bulb, pick an E27 of no more than 40W.
