Description

The Stamford is an 18-bottle wine rack built from iron sheet metal with a vintage bronze powder-coat finish, formed into four vertical wave-shaped columns that create six bottle holders per column. Each wave curves to cradle a wine bottle at the neck and base, holding the bottle horizontally in a secure position without rolling. The rack stands freestanding without wall fixings and can be oriented in landscape (52.5cm high) or portrait (50cm high) depending on shelf height and floor space.

Designed for kitchens, dining rooms, utility rooms and wine cellars where 18 bottles need accessible storage, the Stamford occupies a 50 x 19cm footprint when placed against a wall or in a corner. The wave-form construction means bottles are visible from the front but shielded from side impacts, making the rack suitable for high-traffic areas. The 11.5kg weight provides stability when fully loaded (approximately 22-24kg total with 18 standard 750ml bottles).

The vintage bronze finish is a dark copper-brown tone with a semi-matt surface that hides fingerprints and dust better than polished metal. The iron construction is rigid enough to support the full 18-bottle load without flexing, and the wave pattern distributes weight evenly across all four columns. A smaller 9-bottle version of the Stamford is also available in the same finish for smaller collections or modular stacking.

Yes. The wave-form design works in both landscape (52.5cm high) and portrait (50cm high) orientations. Landscape suits low shelves and countertops, while portrait suits taller floor-standing positions or narrow alcoves.

No. The rack is freestanding and relies on its 11.5kg weight plus the weight of the bottles for stability. When fully loaded it weighs approximately 22-24kg total, which is stable on level floors without wall fixings.

The rack is designed for standard 750ml wine bottles (approximately 75mm diameter). It will also accommodate champagne and prosecco bottles, though magnums and wider bottles may not fit the wave apertures.

How is the bronze finish maintained?

Wipe with a dry or slightly damp microfibre cloth to remove dust. The semi-matt powder-coat finish does not require polishing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or steel wool, which will scratch the coating.
