Description

This square photo album keeps a little one's earliest pictures inside a soft cream linen cover, framed by a fine border of tiny flowers that runs all the way round its edge. At the centre, three small floral sprigs in a warm gold tone sit above the word MEMORIES in soft grey lettering, and taller sprigs climb the spine, so it looks just as lovely standing on a shelf as lying flat on a table. It measures 30cm tall, 30.3cm wide and 3.2cm deep, a generous square that gives every page plenty of room for prints.

We think it belongs on a nursery shelf, a bedroom bookcase or the living room table, where the whole family can sit and turn the pages together. It suits babies and toddlers up to three years old, which makes it a thoughtful gift for a little one to grow alongside, filled from the first days at home to the first wobbly steps. Inside, a page printed This album belongs to: leaves space to write the child's name, turning a pretty album into a keepsake that stays with them long after those early years. The cream, gold and grey palette sits quietly in a neutral nursery and works just as well for a boy as for a girl.

The linen covers a hard, square board with a neat bound spine, so the album stands upright on a shelf without slumping. Open it and sage green and white endpapers lead onto white blank pages, ready for your own prints and handwritten notes. To keep the linen looking fresh, dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth and store it away from damp and strong sunlight. For a lovely gifting touch, tuck a first photograph inside before you wrap it, so the story has already begun.
