Description

The Soravel is a wall light with a single white glass globe, held out from the wall on a curved swan-neck arm that rises from a round backplate. It is made of brass and glass, and it comes in six finishes: Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome, Satin Brass and Satin Chrome. The antique finishes have an aged, mellow tone, the polished ones a bright shine, and the satin ones a quieter sheen. It is 25cm tall and 14cm wide, and it projects 21cm from the wall, so it sits neatly beside a bed or along a wall without crowding the room.

We think it suits a living room, a bedroom or a dining room. A pair either side of a bed gives each side its own light, and two or three along a living room wall make for relaxed evenings without the ceiling light on. In a dining room, a pair either side of a sideboard or a fireplace frames the space nicely. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It takes one G9 bulb, which is sold separately, at up to 6.5W per bulb (LED), so have one ready before it is fitted.

Every Soravel is made to order for you in Ireland. It is a Class I fitting, and it is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. Every finish shares the same shape, so you can pick the one that sits best with your switches, door handles or picture frames. So the practical list is short: choose your finish, buy one G9 bulb, and book a qualified electrician to wire it in.
