Description

The Soltra is a 60cm circular LED pendant light built around a brushed brass ring frame with an integrated 30W LED band set behind an opal acrylic diffuser. A transparent acrylic inner ring with a ground crystal-effect finish sits inside the outer brass ring, adding texture and refracting light across the ceiling plane. The light suspends on a 2m black PVC cable adjustable on installation.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Soltra casts 3000K warm white light both downwards through the opal diffuser and upwards across the ceiling. The 600mm diameter suits tables or islands up to 1800mm long when used as the primary overhead light, or works in multiples over longer surfaces. The 50mm depth of the ring keeps the pendant close to the ceiling plane, making it suitable for rooms where a drop pendant would feel too low.

The brushed brass finish on the metal frame softens reflections and pairs with warm-toned timber, marble and neutral interiors. The crystal-effect acrylic ring is visible when the light is on, creating a secondary pattern of refracted light across the ceiling. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and rated IP20 for indoor use only. At 30W the pendant provides ambient rather than task-level illumination, working best as part of a layered lighting scheme alongside directed spotlights or reading lamps.

Is the Soltra dimmable?

No. The integrated 30W LED runs at full brightness on standard 230V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches. For dimmable alternatives, consider other Ideal Lux pendants with replaceable bulb fittings.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2m cable is adjustable on installation. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The shallow 50mm ring depth means the pendant sits closer to the ceiling than traditional drop pendants.

Can it be used in multiples?

Yes. The 60cm diameter works well in pairs or threes over longer dining tables or kitchen islands exceeding 2.4m in length. Each pendant needs its own ceiling rose connection point.

What's the crystal-effect inner ring made from?
