Description

The Solmira is a dual disc alabaster wall light formed from two overlapping circles of natural Spanish alabaster — a 330mm primary disc and a 230mm secondary disc — set against the wall on a 65mm projection. The larger disc carries a brushed brass centre detail, and an integrated LED behind each disc casts 3000K warm white light through the stone, turning the alabaster into a glowing halo around each circle.

Designed as a feature wall light rather than a primary room source, the Solmira suits hallway runs, stairwell landings, behind sofas in living rooms and bedside walls in larger bedrooms. The slim 65mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall, so it works in circulation spaces where deeper fittings would catch shoulders or sleeves. Wiring runs through a single back-box position behind the larger disc, with the smaller disc cantilevered from the same mounting plate.

Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the grey veining, cloudy patches and edge translucency vary between individual pieces. When unlit, the discs read as soft matt white with hints of vein pattern; when lit, the internal LED reveals the full mineral structure of the stone, with brighter and denser zones visible across the face. The brushed brass dot at the centre of the larger disc adds a small geometric anchor against the organic stone pattern.
