This is a small oval serving platter in stoneware, 23.5cm long, 14.5cm wide and 2cm tall, with a scalloped rim and the words "Ooh La La" painted across its centre in tall, loose lettering. The whole piece is handpainted and multicoloured, with a dotted border running right round the wavy edge to frame the words like a little sign. At this size it is the platter you reach for when there is a small amount of something good to put out rather than a whole meal. It weighs 0.39KG, light enough to carry round a room in one hand.
