Description

The Solid WS 160 is a tube LED wall light from our Solid range. A slim, round profile 4.5cm across runs out from a circular wall plate 10.5cm across and only 0.5cm deep, and a ring on a fine wire steadies its far end so the tube holds a clean horizontal line. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 25W and gives 3650lm of warm white light at 2700K, with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabrics and skin tones look true under it. It comes in Black, Brass, White or Aluminium, so you can pick the finish that sits best with the metalwork and paint in your room.

Its slim line and warm light make it a good fit for a dining room, where it brings light to a table or sideboard, for a living room beside a sofa or reading chair, and for a bedroom, where it gives a soft light by the bed and frees up the bedside table. It is dimmable by DALI or push dimming, so it works with a compatible DALI system or a compatible push switch, and you can bring it down low for a late supper or the last hour before sleep. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

Josep Lluís Xuclà designed the Solid WS 160 as one clean, unbroken line of light, with the LED held inside the tube so the fitting reads as a simple shape on the wall. It runs on 230V and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician; it is a Class I fitting, which means it connects to the earth in your home's wiring. Once it is in, the integrated LED means nothing to replace, so the only real decision is the finish: Black, Brass, White or Aluminium. Our photographs show the black version.
