Description

The Solid SH 220 is a long cylinder LED pendant light: one slim tube, 220cm long and 4.5cm across, that hangs level on two suspension cables set 204cm apart. Its light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 35W and gives 5110lm of warm white light at 2700K, with a CRI of 90, so wood, food and skin tones look natural under it. We sell it in four finishes, Black, Brass, White or Aluminium, so you can choose the one that sits best with your room.

Its length makes it a natural choice for a long dining table, where a single pendant lights the whole run of the table instead of one pool in the middle. In a living room it works well over a large coffee table or a long sideboard, drawing a clean horizontal line through the space. The cables allow a drop of up to 350cm, so it suits tall ceilings as well as standard ones, and the tube can hang at the height that suits the table beneath. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The design is by Josep Lluís Xuclà. The LED sits within the tube itself, so the fitting reads as one clean line. It is not dimmable, so it gives its full output whenever it is on, which makes it a good working light for meals, homework or a table full of guests. It runs on mains power and is wired in by a qualified electrician. As a practical note, measure the table or space you want to light before you order: at 220cm long, it is made for generous runs rather than small tables. Our photographs show the brass version.
