Description

The Solid SH 160 is a long, slim cylinder LED pendant light that hangs level, a single straight tube of light just 4.5cm across. We offer it in four finishes, Black, Brass, White or Aluminium, so you can pick the one that sits best in your room. The light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 25W and gives 3650lm of warm white light at 2700K, and with a CRI of 90, food, fabrics and paint colours look natural. The tube hangs from two fine wires with slim ring hangers near each end, at a drop of up to 350cm.

Its long, straight line makes it a natural choice over a dining table, giving light along the length of the table, and it suits a living room just as well, hung over a sideboard or a reading corner. Because it is one clean horizontal line rather than a cluster of shades, it keeps a room calm and uncluttered. The finishes let you match it to the room: Brass for warmth against wood, Black or White to sit quietly against the ceiling, and Aluminium for a cooler look. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The LED is built into the cylinder itself, so there is nothing to see but the tube and its suspension. It runs on mains power and is wired in by a qualified electrician, and it is a Class I fitting. It is not dimmable, so it belongs on an ordinary on and off switch rather than a dimmer. The design is by Josep Lluís Xuclà. As a practical note, measure from your ceiling to the height you want before you order, keeping within the 350cm maximum drop, and pick the finish that suits the room.
