Description
The Solara is a 620mm tall wall light built around a single sphere of natural Spanish alabaster set on a slim brushed brass stem. The sphere sits at the top of the fixture, held in a slender brass cradle, while the 130mm-wide round backplate anchors the fitting to the wall. A second brass cuff secures the lower end of the stem, finishing in a small drop-shaped detail. The light source is a single E14 lamp (sold separately).
Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedrooms and lounge walls, the Solara works as decorative accent lighting rather than primary task light. The vertical 620mm proportion suits walls flanking a bed, either side of a fireplace, or running up a stairwell where a taller fitting reads better than a compact wall light. Surface-mounted to a standard wall box, the slim profile keeps projection close to the wall and avoids interfering with adjacent furniture.
The alabaster sphere shows gentle veining and tonal variation typical of natural stone, so each piece differs slightly when lit. Light passes through the alabaster rather than around it, giving a soft, warm glow that reveals the internal clouding of the stone. The brushed brass finish on the stem, cradle, backplate and cuff carries a low-sheen warmth that pairs comfortably with cream, taupe and deeper jewel-toned wall colours. The 2-year warranty covers manufacturing defects.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Solara take?
The fitting takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) lamp, sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED bulb between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K to complement the soft glow of the natural alabaster.
Does the alabaster vary between pieces?
Yes. Each sphere is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, internal clouding and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the stone, not a defect, and is most visible when the lamp is lit.
Where does it suit best on the wall?
The 620mm height makes the Solara well suited to taller wall positions: flanking a bed at headboard height, either side of a fireplace, in hallways, or rising up a stairwell. The slim 130mm-wide profile keeps projection close to the wall.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth, or a barely-damp cloth with distilled water for stubborn marks. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, which can stain or pit the stone.
