Description
This SMD LED strip puts spaced SMD diodes along a flexible reel, giving a bright, even line of light you can run wherever you need it. Sold as a 30m reel, it draws 16W per metre and gives 1760 lumens per metre in a warm white 3000K tone, so it suits accent and task runs that want a soft, inviting colour. Sold in the US as LED tape light, it cuts to length at the marked points every 5cm, letting you size each section to the shelf, alcove or run in hand.
Use it for under-cabinet lighting, cove and ceiling-recess runs, shelf edges, display cases and behind-furniture accents where a continuous strip reads better than spot fittings. It is rated IP00, so keep it to dry indoor positions and clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor location. Coverage works by the metre rather than as a room area: at 1760 lumens per metre it lays down a strong, dot-free band of light, so plan the metreage to the length you want to wash rather than a floor footprint.
The strip runs on 24V DC and needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is supplied separately, so it does not connect straight to a mains socket. Sizing the driver to the total wattage of the length you run is the key install step, and the strip joins or shortens only at the 5cm cut marks. With Ra80 colour rendering and a rated 30,000 hour life, it holds a consistent warm tone over long service. Other reels in this range share the base format in different outputs and colour temperatures.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver, supplied separately, rather than connecting directly to the mains. Size the driver to the total wattage of the length you install, allowing 16W for every metre of strip in the run.
Can it be cut to length?
Yes. The strip cuts to length at marked points every 5cm, so you can trim each section to fit the shelf, alcove or run. Only cut at the marked intervals to keep the circuit intact.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This reel is rated IP00, which means dry indoor use only. Keep it clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor or sheltered-outdoor position; choose a coated IP65 strip for those locations.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Switch off and let the strip cool, then wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp lint-free cloth. Avoid solvents and soaking, and keep moisture away from the cut ends and connections given the IP00 rating.
