Description
This SMD LED strip puts spaced SMD diodes along a flexible 5 metre reel, giving a clean line of cool white light at 16W per metre and 1920 lumens per metre. Known in the US as LED tape light, it suits accent and task runs where a low-profile fitting needs to follow a shape. The colour temperature is a crisp cool white, and the diodes carry an Ra 80 colour rendering for a true rendition of surfaces and worktops. The strip cuts to length at marked points every 5cm, so it can be sized to a shelf, cabinet or cove run without waste.
Indoors this strip works well under kitchen cabinets, along shelving, inside display units and around cove or ceiling recesses, where it grazes a surface rather than lighting a whole room. Because it is rated IP00, it is intended for dry interior positions only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor location. The cool white tone reads bright and functional, making it a good fit for worktop task areas and detailing where crisp light matters more than warmth. Plan the run length against the 5 metre reel and the 5cm cut interval when sizing it to the space.
The strip runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is supplied separately and must be specified to suit the total wattage of the run. It is not a mains-direct fitting and should never be connected straight to a wall socket. Rated for 30,000 hours, it draws 16W per metre and weighs 76g across the 5 metre reel. We stock matching drivers and other strip profiles in the range to complete the install.

Frequently Asked
Does this LED strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a 24V LED driver sized to the total wattage of your run. The driver is sold separately and is not included with the reel.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. It cuts at marked points every 5cm along the 5 metre reel. Always cut only at these points so the circuit on the strip stays intact.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00, which means dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, porches, gardens and any damp or wet location.
How do I clean it?
Switch off and let it cool, then wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp lint-free cloth. Avoid soaking the strip or using harsh cleaners, as it has no water protection.
