Description

This is a replacement prismatic glass for three of our bulkhead lights. It is round and clear, with a gently domed face and a narrow rim around the edge. The whole dome is patterned with fine ribs that run out from the centre like the spokes of a wheel. Prismatic glass works by bending and scattering the light that passes through it, so a lamp inside reads as an even glow rather than a single hard point of glare.

It fits our Small Cabin Bulkhead, our Trident Bulkhead and our Trident Shield Bulkhead, and it is made for those three alone. A glass can be cracked by a knock, a ladder or a stray ball, and when that happens the rest of the light is often perfectly sound. A new glass brings the bulkhead back into full use without replacing the whole light.

The radial ribbing gives a bulkhead its familiar working look, so a fresh glass keeps your light looking right on the wall as well as doing its job properly. Before you order, check that your light is one of the three bulkheads we name, as this glass is made for those and no others.
